As for how it sounds .. All bass/midbass impact is up on the windshield/dash .. far left to far right and everything in between is coherently placed on the soundstage .. instruments/vocalists have air/space around them. It can feel live .. like a brass instrument ringing your chest or a kick drum punch in the body... with all perceived sound originating from the soundstage on the dash. It's like driving in a studio.

Nice install, I might tackle this in the future. I find the HK system to barely have any bass?
With HK .. the bass is there, but you need to boost EQ +5db to bring it out. I never boost EQ but the HK gets punchy when boosted. Low lows are non-existant though.

Where can I buy the same custom pods for the mid/tweeters in the doors?
I wonder if OP Elliot Saleman is still around? Very impressive setup with no change to the head unit. Elliot's photo-posting skills were no match for his speaker-installation skills, lol: what looked like 9 photo links were actually 6 with some dupes....

Thanks, but I was talking about the mounting pods (custom made), not the speakers themselves. I have a 3-way speakers set but I need something like your pods to install the midds and tweeters and I can't find anything as nice as yours man.
