I'm looking for some help. I have a 2013 ML550, and I believe it needs a new coolant thermostat sensor. I'm getting codes P0117 and P2377. I searched for its location, and it appears to be in a pretty tight spot, behind the driver-side engine near the vacuum pump. Has anyone had experience changing this sensor? I can't even get my hand in there yet — I haven't tried accessing it from the bottom and wanted to ask you all first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The part is #40.

You've got the right location but it's very unlikely bad. MB uses well built leak-proof sensor. Call it lifetime grade.
What are your codes describing??
It's likely related to the TSTAT unit getting lazy and temperatures not being in range, right??
Does your engine looses coolant: a little, moderately or a lot??
