Man, I miss the old W163s with low range gear. Got stuck this morning with the W166 on the farm. :-|

I think anything would have gotten stuck in that with highway tyres on. My 500 got stuck on flat muddy grass in the paddock next door once. Had to get the tractor to pull it out.

The W166 did offer low range transfer case with the off-road package. Mine has it, as I ordered it from factory new with that package.

With favorable conditions, almost any vehicle can be planted. (2 years ago after an exceptionally heavy winter.)

Definitely a tire issue! That doesn't look like a situation that really warrants low range, although you can option the W166 with it.

Thanks very much! I agree that the current tires are likely not helping the situation. I am sure the W166 with the off road package must be nice :-)
