Diesel Jerking on Acceleration

Diesel Jerking on Acceleration
Hello: Experiencing engine "jerking" on low speed acceleration. Once vehicle comes up to speed, jerking goes away. Jerking repeats after stopping and accelerating from a stop. Engine is OM 642. Jerking started the day after I filled the tank followed by overnight subfreezing temperatures, with vehicle parked outside. The first day of jerking, the "check engine" (CE) illuminated. When I parked the car for the day, I restarting the vehicle several times in succession and the CE light went out. (YouTube suggestion). I drove the vehicle the second day and same issue, with the CE light going out after repeated restarts after I parked the vehicle for the day. I have had the vehicle since 2016 and never experienced this issue, however it was parked in a heated garage. I may have gotten some bad diesel fuel?

I experienced this same issue last year and the code was for the mass air flow sensor. However, it was during the summer months. My independent MB mechanic attempted to clean the mass airflow sensor. That corrected the problem but only for the short term. The check engine light came back on as well as the jerking during acceleration. Eventually replaced the mass air flow sensor and to date have not experienced this issue. I will say, I only experienced the jerking during the first few minutes after a cold start. Hope this helps

Thanks for your experience. I will be interested in reading any codes when I receive my scanner. I will be driving the vehicle today after a 16 deg F night. Am interested to see if the Diesel 911 did its job.
