Strange issue with struts
2014 ML350 with weird noises when driving over potholes or any small road obstructions.
Replaced lower control arm and sway bar links and it did not do much. Should of looked better and other stuff first, but look what I found lol
I am puzzled, is the strut on passenger side aftermarket, not compatible, or improperly installed? Or its supposed to be like that?
Should i get used original there? I am afraid if i get only struct new, some parts might be missing.

Yes, great inspection findings 
Your front suspension is proven dangerously busted.
You'll need to investigate what parts are wasted:
The preliminary control ARMS + sway bar LINKS were good mandatory wear items.
At some point, question/replace the sway bar BUSHINGS + Rear sway bar LINKS.
Fixing these cheap items will restore precise steering like new.

- STRUT BEARINGS + bushing... ~$60.
- (strut stopper)
- (strut itself)
The preliminary control ARMS + sway bar LINKS were good mandatory wear items.
At some point, question/replace the sway bar BUSHINGS + Rear sway bar LINKS.
Fixing these cheap items will restore precise steering like new.
