My intermittent/sensing wipers aren't working, single wipe then nothing. Found bubbles in the gel, from everything I can find this is preinstalled on the windshield from the factory, with no official fix other than replacing the windshield.
The mount seems to be available for other models, a class, glk, which are overall a different mirror mount, but has anyone repaired one of our ML sensors successfully without a windshield replacement?

Either by removing the old pad and replacing it, or getting gel under the plastic mount?
It's a weird occurrence to have a windshield bubble right there... scan the sensor to see if it responds - It's one of the first modules to fail.
I assume you mean by scan the sensor you mean with xentury or similar? I don't have any of those yet.
I did pull the sensor off of the windshield to inspect, one ear is broken off of the windshield side and held on with a zapstrap, the other side the metal clip still works. While pushing and playing after reinstalling it, I was able to get the wipers to cycle a few times in automatic mode, which makes me think the sensor is reporting correctly, just not seeing the wetness, though I haven't had any rainy days of driving since I pulled the sensor off earlier this week
