2013 ml550 no trailer lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hello, I got a new to me 2013 ml550 with factory trailer hitch,, and I can not get the trailer lights to work! I already bought the curt 57004 adapter (unless is not the right adapter either!), that is supposed to work, and nothing, all fuses related that I can find are good, my code scanner shows no faults in the trailer module, what else can I check? worst case scenario, what trailer wiring kit can I use for the trailer lights?

There are two different wiring configurations for 7 way connectors, so make sure your trailer and vehicle connector are compatible. A plugin tester can be useful to verify the vehicle's connector -- Curt 58272 and 58260.
Also, the trailer lights electrical system likely uses the trailer frame as the ground connection to all the lights. If the ground connection between the 4 way connector and the trailer frame is broken or corroded (this often occurs), none of the lights will work. Check the trailer's 4 way connector, the wire, and the connection where it's screwed into the trailer frame.
