@pmercury if going with a stand alone ECU, are there any legal issues with that potentially affecting emissions ("race track, off road use only") and what about ECU interactions with traction control and similar functions? Presumably those would be disabled? What about interactions with the transmission? Would the transmission also require a stand alone unit? Is a stand alone ECU really controlling only the engine or is it interacting with some other systems? I remember reading somewhere that Marcin from Speedriven built a stand alone V12TT but there were no details. Thanks.

he had it made by a racing company in the UK
I spoke with them when Marcin disappeared
and yes its possible to get it interact
just a lot of programming

Is your plan to refine the voltage transformer & once that is stabilized/ proven, move onto the coil packs?
