Question 2004 cl600 problem with activation

i have star with developer mode and das. my right door switch will not open the trunk and the button to open the trunk does not light up. also i can not get my remote to close the doors. i set up the star, went through the entire diagnostic procedure with car running and every thing on. star showed numerous faults. i then went to activation and pressed. all faults are gone except for the trunk opening and the window locks opening and closing with the remote. the remote batteries are new, but the opening and closing of the door locks do not function and the trunk will not open. as soon as i open the unlocked door the alarm siren goes off. i immediately hit the top button on the remote and the alarm siren shuts off. anyone have a suggestion on what to do next. the drivers side door switch has already been replace with a good used one from ebay which was tested and guaranteed to work.
any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
thank you, harv

You know your way around this beauty 👍

Have a look at your door modules.
I suspect they use "solderless pins" that need a 5mn soldering job. I have a thread that deals with these Trojan-horse designs.

Take a module out and post a picture when ready.

I used to have your problem of unlocking then alarm blasting the horn and thought it was a ridiculously unpleasant welcome!

When chassis modules suffer poor connections the CAN-C gets bottlenecked and cause non-sens errors to pile up. Then things get elegantly crazy within limits as designed.

We'll try to deal with your trunk issue later if it is keeps acting up.
.👍.

hi, thanks for your response. i got the horn problem fixed. i needed a new drivers side panel that has the window opening and closing function and the trunk release button. no my two major issues are 1- i have brand new mercedes modules installed in the doors but still can't get the doors to lock, or unlock with the remote.
2- can't get the trunk to open without using the key. the trunk release switch in the car doesn't light up and when i pull the switch up nothing happens and the trunk remains closed.
any feed back or ideas are greatly appreciated.
thank you, harv

next stage...

Glad you were able to replace your door modules (how much $$ were they?)

Do you have Keyless or "Keyless-Go" option ?
Do you know where this module is located... (perhaps by your trunk sides?)

This module is the link between keyfob and the car. It commands the locks through local modules. Good chances you'll find it uses "solderless pins"... another 5mn solder repair.

XENTRY :
> What sort of interesting issues does it reports?
> Can you interact with Keyless menus...
Any other clues as to what is acting up ?

the panel for the drivers side door was $25 shipped from ebay. no idea about the solderless spins, but as i told you i have brand new mercedes door modules in both doors, and new trunk release latch in trunk and still can't get the trunk to release, or the doors to lock with the remote. i am having a problem with my star diagnostic at this time. it won't let me put in the year for the car so it can a complete diagnosis. it keeps telling me to open das and when i do it asks me to put in the vin # and then tells me to activate i believe xentry and then tells me that i am not authorized to contact shop foreman, or something like that.
i'll keep playing with it, but no joy so far.
the best, harv
