Brand new wheel with Alcantara top and bottom and perforated leather sides
upgraded AMG paddles
customer didn’t like the current design so rebuilding in a different spec.
Note: r230 will require paddle module for new paddle shifters to function
All other models: you will need to transfer your oem paddle shifter connectors to the new paddles for plug and play compatibility. Takes 5 minutes

r230 uses a electronic switch for paddle shifter function. The module converts the paddle shifting information to a code the car will understand. It’s made by another member here on mbworld. He can explain the function of the module much better than me. All I know if without the module the car is unable to decode the new style paddles.

Was wondering how these paddles are coded? I have a brand new paddle mechanism from an E55 but obviously those wheels have the 5 port connection instead of the 3 port in the 2003 SL 55. Deciding between upgrading to the E55 wheel as well or going with the SL style and upgrading the paddles. Been scouring forums but can't seem to find the answer.
