Did you just call someone else out Clay?

I'm gonna guess this is your way of doing so. If someone were to spend $300k on a car, I would think they would know the difference between a Maybach 57 and a Maybach 57s. Don't you?

I got all excited until I saw just a regular M57 not the 57S.

Too fishy considering he thought he bought a 2006 57S, not a used 2005 Maybach 57 (sans S)

I think people living in NYC are more cynical than most however, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they slip or something doesn't add up.

I'm not leary because like I said, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt no matter how wild it may sound. But if I see, hear or read a contradiction I take notice.

People embellish or plain out lie a lot on the internet, so I can't beleive everything I see, hear or read. The New Yorker in me just makes it easier to spot, thats all. I don't call out everything I notice, or else I'd go crazy.

It's like standing on the subway platform at 3:30AM. I don't worry that someone is going to rob me or push me onto the tracks but I'm well aware of my surroundings just in case

If there's one thing that makes me believe somebody on an internet forum who says they have just purchased a Maybach - it is pictures of a completely diff model of Maybach gleaned from the internet. And as we all know, Maybach owners spend a lot of time on online forums talking about their cars, using words like "cuz", and discussing the awesome dubs they're gonna put on them.

This HAS to be the saddest and most inept attempt at making people believe that someone has bought a Maybach that I have ever witnessed. The only things missing are the remains of a window sticker that bas been badly photoshopped off, or the real owner's hand in the corner of the shot.

He was even too stupid to get the model right - the 57S is not available in a two-tone paint scheme (translation: the entire body is supposed to be the same color).

How sad does someone's life have to be for them to try and fail this badly at making people think they bought a Maybach? I bet that now he'll act like nothing's happened and that he was just joking around. IMHO people should be kicked off the forum for juvenile crap like this.

Rster is full of s-h-i-t. He started out saying he bought a 57S but posted pics of a regular 57 hoping nobody on a Mercedes forum knew the difference

Then he corrected himself by saying that he decided to buy the regular 57 because he did't need the extra horsepower

Oh, and I just got off the phone with Fort Lauderdale Collection, the dealer who has the car in the pics. Its still available for $2xxk.
