Oh come on folks. Surely it was just a bit of harmless fun. I used to say I owned a pair of football boots, as a child, 'at the repairers', to cover up that I didn't have any. We all do it in our different ways. Bill Gates told lots of fibs/lies about what he had developed/invented and look where it got him!

Dude, that is not even the same thing... Bill Gates took ideas and developed them into many successes, but obviously the truth about who invented what is always out there: it's public knowledge.
