You people keep forgetting that if you purchase a Maybach, MONEY IS NO BIG DEAL. They arent trying to save a buck or two they want one the most exclusive cars you will ever seen on the road for years to come. The maybach comes with a personal service assistant that will handle your every concern about the car. Stop talkin about saving because it isnt an option for these people. IE Jay Z ordered one, his net worth is a little over 150 million. Do you think he cares the difference between paying 350,000 or 250,000? and saving 100,000? big deal.................. he gets that back in interest

The "saving" I mentioned is more of the principle, than the money. The Maybach is not "that" exclusive when compared to the Pullman.
It is simply the flavor of the month...

I heard that there will be seperate dealerships just for Maybach. It would not be too cool to see a C class right next to Maybach. BTW MB of Manhattan is expending on Park Ave, I think they will take up a whole block. Maybe they need all that extra room for Maybachs? I will stop by and check it out today.

Maybach
Yep, this car is ugly, with its Lexus/Kia grille, import scene headlights and lard-assed styling. Considering the 400% profit that D-C must be making from the suckers who buy these behemoths, they could have had the foresight to have an Italian design house style the thing for them. As it is, it looks like a grossly obese S-Class.
Pininfarina, Bertone or Ital Design could have done so much better; it's a lost opportunity.

P&F your joking right? Have you seen the crap they have come out with lately?
Maybach customers would tend to be more conservative than your average buyer. ie something classic and fresh vs new & sexy.
I believe Mercedes never intended to make a profit with the Maybach it was simply a statement about the company. I read 3 reports that have said that and 2 that said the opposite so go figure.
