W212 gearbox issue
When my E class w212 is cold the gearbox act weird and does like a hard one jerk during mid of first gear and only in first gear its almost like a hard shift but I’m already into gear and car is rolling … problem disappears when the car warms up any help please 🙏🏼

Might be worth checking the transmission fluid level and condition first, especially if it hasn’t been serviced in a while. Cold shifts acting up can point to that or an aging valve body.

Check the gearbox plug for oil inside (wet = plate seal gone). New conductor plate + sleeve ~£250-300 and 2 hrs DIY.
Pull codes first (usually P0717/P0722). Easy fix once you replace it. Good luck!
