I know they are testing in traditional McLaren orange, but what will the official car launch bring us? Launch is expected to be in mid-February.

Thats a good question, and one I've been pondering for the last week or so. Whatever it is, it will either only last this year, or it will be somewhat compatible with the Vodafone sponsorship switch coming next year. I'm scared to think of what a silver arrow F1 car will look like with that much vodafone red on it!

From my understanding of how the McLaren livery works, I don't expect it change very much at all.

I posted this in the other thread:

However, I guess it's not beyond the realm of impossibility that if Vodafone did put up a big stink McLaren might add more red - however, the cash value of Vodafone's sponsorship is much less than McLaren got from West - and they didn't add red to the livery for West.

You are exactly right. Ron isn't going to change what he does, no matter what. I guess that's I right he has earned by making Mclaren into what it is.

I've been in the Mclaren Technology Center, and just seeing how that place was built and the attention to detail put into it, there is no way the look of the car is going to change much, especially over a new sponsor. Look at it this way, they did fine last year without a title sponsor. Just my thoughts....
