Who's going to blow the engine ?
It seem like Honda/Renualt had the 'perfect' reliability during winter testing...yet they had problems this weekend...
Macas/Ferraris were having problems during winter testing yet they had a reliable race....so what should we expect this week ? an ilmor engine to go caboom or a ferrari engine ? or another BMW engine ?

David Coulthard blew his engine on the last lap at Bahrain so he will get the 10 spot grid penalty at Malaysia. Keep in mind that he is running a Ferrari V8 in the Red Bull RB2.
I think if Mclaren can have good reliablility they will have a good shot at the podium if not the win. They showed great pace even with the heavy fuel loads they were carrying at Bahrain.

Yeah...the Red Bulls were having problems cooling down the engine from day one...and ferrari never did a full race lenght with that V8...its creeping me out. The Macas are bloody fast! and predictions are that its going to rain all weekend !!! thunderstorms -that would be great! if it rains i think the vets are going to take the cake with Kimi right up there fighting. Fonzi is not that great in the rain so if it rains :
1 MS - if the engine dosent blow
2 GF- If the renualt boys dont give him a mest up car
3 RB- Hondas first podium for the year
or
Kimi ?- thats if he dosent blow the engine or another reliabilty issue for the macas

the thing about this next race is that its gonna be the first time these engines are going to experience 2 races.. and these V8's vibrate a whole lot compared to the old V10's.. so reliability is going to win this weeks race in my opinion
the honda and the renault are looking good.. the ferrari isnt bad either.. the mclarens tho can go either way
lets not forget how hot this track is and how much of a beating these cars usually get.. so these cars have to be seriously tough

Well 3 years ago BS were known to be better in the rain and colder weather and michelin in hot weather. Hopefully thats still true and we might see some new faces in the podium in BS department. The Macas and Ferraris worry me about reliability, i think if the get this job done...the engines are pretty much good enough for next races. I heard the Macas are expecting an engine upgrade for the AGP....and Ferrari new aero package for SMGP......anyways i hope its a close race like last weeknd but with more of kimi/jpm and others fighting in the front.

My understanding is that the Bridgestone is a new, even better, tire this year; and that they are very pleased with it.... Those running the Bridgestones may have the tire advantage -- but that isn't all there is to racing in F1, by a long shot!

interesting qualifying today.. different first 2 rows than we are used to seeing.. and i'm impressed to see Rosberg so high up on the grid
I'm guessing the McLarens and Alonso might be heavy on feul

I really thought MS was penalized for swapping engines.

MS qualified 4th but will be penalized 10 spots for an engine swap. Alonso's pit crew made a mistake and fueled him twice (they though no fuel went in the 1st time and fueled again, but in fact it had fueled) so he went out very heavy... later, an electronic glitch prevented him from running the last lap.
Oh, and Rosberg is the real deal... I said he was the highlght of last race, and he might be the highlight of the season.
