Possibly the best overtake ever

Look at this video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giZu7...search=montoya

The title says it is the 2nd best overtaking ever, but I think it is THE best... and I saw it live! No kidding, I was at that race sitting right on top of the bus stop (where this pass happened), and I even have it on video. Too bad there's no race in Spa this year.

never, I think Montoya is one of the best overtakers ever, really... Fernando Alonso sucks at that, if he doesn't start close to the front grid he is done.

Here's the Mika/MS vid for comparison.

I still think the Montoya pass is much better... simply because it happened as soon as JPM saw him up the track and just went for it with no setup, whereas Mika spent a few laps behind Michael and had to use the backmarker to get past.

a quarter mile at a time
Montoya's move was like butter - just slid right in there and got by. Mikka had impeccable timing!

Not F1 but Alex Zanardi's pass at Laguna Seca is probably my favorite.

Keep in mind this is the last lap, on the difficult blind downhill chicane with only 3 turns left on the track.

i like the mika pass cause it was unique, im not saying its better.
montys pass was very smooth, i remember watching it on tv and couldnt believe what i saw, he caught shumi slippin.
i also like kimi pass on fisi at last years japanese race, on the last lap, for the lead, after starting 17th. *his car was geared too short and was bouncing off the rev limiter*

u guys should have seen fisi face on the podium and in the press conference

No favorite passes just yet....can't decide.

But I do like the way Montoya pronounces "chicane"
