McLaren Mercedes at Turkish GP
Both cars had a terrible start. Alonso finished third after a basically unexciting drive. Hamilton finished fifth after spending most of the race in third until a tire blew late in the race.
It was a race pretty much dominated by Ferrari with both Ferraris getting a good start to enter turn 1 in first and second (Massa, then Kimi). The order never changed from that point. Quite the "procession" type race {yawn}.

The leaders order is now pretty well established: MM or Ferrari, then BMW coming on quietly, competently and strong (not a BMW fan but facts are facts). Frankly, now the season - ON TRACK- rather then the sheninigans OFF-TRACK, gets even better w/ both MM and Ferrari and their drivers arch-competing for #1 position. Whether Ferrari or MM, it's great to watch!!

True. It can only make the sport more interesting if you have more teams capable of winning at any given race. BMW is in this to win and we could be hearing some trash talk from BMW fans before too long

The more legit, genuine competition, the better and the less yawns (though I find little sleepy about this f1 season). As history tells us, no one team lasts too long on top, not Renault, not Ferrari, not MM, not even Honda in the old daze. Again, not a BMW fan, but definitely impressed w/ the way Dr. Thyssen and his team are going about their business and expect they may well become a contender for the top 2 spots next season, unlikely as that they sound right now.

I woke up at 5 am to catch this snoozefest. I agree that more top teams make it interesting. It would be great to see 4 teams competing for the top next year. At least there is a 2 team race for the championship. In some years, it's only one team dominating.

you know, it's really fascinating why those of us who love f1 do. Like Istanbul, there really is not a lot of passing or high drama. Just hyper-accurate/military-like precision and execution down to 100ths of a second, super pitstops, awesome aerodynamics designed in wind tunnels; BMW allegedly has the 2nd most powerful supercomputer in Europe and $40M wind tunnel that goes 24/7 on their f1 cars. But real passing/racing....nah, nada, not really. So why do we love it so much......???????:cr azy:
