thanks for the diagnosis,is there a test that can be done to confirm if in fact there is a leak ,before i dig deep for this repair and while engine head is off should timing chain and tensioners water pump etc get replaced should head get resurfaced,i dont have any service history on this vehicle so any advice would be greatly appreciated i had a bad experience on a w126 420 sel with no service history and the t chain snapped bent some valves in the process it was ugly when the bill came in but im a gluton for punishment and went and bought another no history car my 91 300ce is very clean interior is perfect and it runs great at 129,000m a little more help please thanks !
