feul distributor

I have a 1979 450 sl which I have been told I need a new feul distributor at $1,900 plus installation. Are there other options on this part?

There are definitely options -- that price is ridiculous.

Bob,

Did you ask for the price of it at a BOSCH dealer? Maybe they will fix it for you overthere (having it apart, cleaning, new springs, adjusting,...), or maybe they have a sort of swapping system for that sort of parts. Or do not you have Bosch dealers in the U.S.?
