Unhappy 500 sel idle

I have a 1984 500 sel and it idles high every few seconds and goes back to normal and repeats this cycle while at a stop or in park. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this. I have had all the vacum lines replaced thus far without any luck.....thanks for the help.

This is the wrong forum for this post (I will move it accordingly). The "Forum Question & Help" forum is specifically for help with forums.

Great car by the way. We had one of the very first 500 SEL in the US. Loved that car...ROCK solid!

85 500 SEL
Is it safe to post in your thread now?

(Jeez…)

You may have replaced the vacuum lines (good) but there still may be an air leak. The idle control valve may need to be cleaned or replaced, or a new idle control unit (fixed my high idle). Less likely but possible is leaking injector seals or worn injectors.
