Dial Gauge Holder - Mercedes engine - M102, M103

Mercedes engine - M102, M103 – Please can some one give me a detailed description including clearances of how to use the Dial Gauge Holder for checking hydraulic valve lifters. This is used in conjunction with a dial indicator?

Dial Gauge

Correct,

There are a few highly accurate tools like a dial gauge that are useful for extremely small measurements of dimensions. A dial gauge is one of these devices. it measures the amount of travel of a button on the back of the dial gauge unit.

There are usually arms or brackets that the dial gauge attaches to and/or an arm that the button contacts like a lever. Many dial gauge tools are either magnetically attached or use a mounting plate to secure them to something solid.

There are a few companies that make the dial gauge adapter for MB's (M0025),(M0424);
