need mercedes tech help (bergen county NJ)

we have a 2003 mercedes c230 hatchback

The problem with the vehicle is that engine misfires, left side parking lamp indicator light stays on, low resovoir fluid light is on.

The car was in light front accident and we would like anyone who works at a dealership to help us out.

thanks

Take it to a dealer. Thats your best bet. Parking light prob could be a result of improper wiring after the repair. The other probs are quite simple for a dealer to correct and do not seem to be repair related. Aren't you still under warranty??

The dealer will charge me a arm and a leg for the electrical diagnostics and then repair. I am sure someone who is familiar with this car can figure it out on the side and this problem would not be covered under warranty since the car was in a accident.

If there are issues after the repair the shop that repaired is still responsible to correct it at no charge. If they can't they should cover the bill for an outside source to assist.

I know that. The shop has had the car for way too long and sent the car off to 2 specialists that I have spoken to also. I rather find a local tech that could check it out for me and I would pay them on the side.

thanks anyways

Other than the parking light thing I would think the misfire and resovoir problem would be warranty. The people that repaired your car should be responsible for the parking light wiring and any other accident related items. From what you are saying they did not do a very good job and do not seem qualified to work on a MB. Apparently expense plays a priority with you getting the items fixed. Remember, you get what you pay for.

The paintwork is top notch so I have no complaints about it.

The owner of the shop said he will cover any bills relating to these problems. He has been very helpful through this whole situation (He gave up his personal car for the time being)

If any local techs are looking to make side cash please contact me
