mass air sensor

any info on replacing air mass sensor on 01 c240 ?? code readout: P0170 & p0173

can anyone help me on if i should replace myself or pay dealer for a job that i think could be easy. i am not an idiot and semi mecanicly inclined i just need some basic instructions and maybee a good place to buy one if not from the parts dept. any help would be appreciated

If it takes you 5 minutes to replace, you took too long. Get the part from importec.com and replace it yourself. If you don't have a scanner to erase the codes, just disconnect the battery for 1 minute. (you'll have to reset your windows, sunroof, etc)

Dito on TresX, Not much easier than changing this out. Did you trycleaning it first? you are going to find the Part pricy, Cleaning may be a cheep fix ( cost of Elect cleaner - less than$3). At least worth a try.
