Side windows delaminating?
I have an 02 S500. It looks like the side windows are starting to delaminate at the top or leading edge. I am starting to see what looks like air bubbles? Could this really be happening on such a new car. I have seen this on very old cars but never on something this new. Is this a common problem, if so will it be covered under warrenty?
No this does not have any aftermarket tint on it nor has it ever had.
Any help is appreciated.

If you are still under warranty it should be covered. The trick will be convincing the dealer that it is a problem. Does it get REAL hot where you live?

Central California summer temps can commonly reach 104...

We had a car that develped the same problem in the Florida sun. UV and plastics (laminate layer) don't mix.

The windows are covered under warranty, and this isn't what I'd call a rare problem on 220 cars.

I have the same problem developing on my 2001 W215. I have the CPO warranty and my factory warranty has expired. Would it be covered under that?

More common on 215's but yeah 220's also. Covered under factory warranty, probably not CPO though
