2006 ML350 Memory seat function
There seems to be a bit of a controversy surrounding the confusion created by the 2006 ML350 Owner's Manual as well as the diagnostic screen utilized by service technicians.
According to my SA, the "kep dependent" function on the memory seating function does not exist on the 2006 ML350, however, there is contradictory information in the Owner's manual as it states that "up to 3 different memory seat position settings can be programmed to each Smartkey".
GregW also dug up a diagnostic screen for the 06 ML that shows "key dependency" as a selectable option.
Although there is no multifunction steering wheel menu option to select "key dependency" as there is on my 05 C320 Sport Sedan, the documentation for the ML seems to contradict this information.
Can you please shed some light on this issue as my dealer does not seem to know either.

What was your result? Same on my 07 E350. Seems like smartkey is just a dumb remote. Can use either keyless or remote to lock/unlock or start/stop but all memory functions (what little there are) must be manually initiated by pressing the preset button.
