overspeed beep

Hi,
I own a SLK 350 2005 and get very annoyed by the beep i can hear
each time i'm driving at more than 120km/h I'm wondering if there is a way to remove that beep which come with my car. I've looked everywhere (manuals and the forum) but couldn't find any info about that
Thanks for your help

Perhaps your dealer can do some reprogramming with the Star diagnostic computer. Have you tried that yet??

well actually the prob is that I'm living in Qatar, unfortunately here there is no "top class" mercedes engineer and they just said to me if we remove that you will void your garanty, which I think is just because they have no clue about how to do it... so any help ?

If NBKS (the Mercedes-Benz General Distributor for DaimlerChrysler in Qatar) says the warrantee for the vehicle will be voided if the beep for exceeding 74 MPH is removed, then I would go to the following website, click the “complaints” tab and see what Mercedes-Benz has to say.
