Pipe between fuel distributor and lower manifold section

Does anyone know how to remove the wierd clip holding the rubber sleeve to the lower half of the fuel distributor ? The clip appears to be some kind of rachet mechanism. Theres not enough room to get clippers or anything in.
PS removing the manifold is not an option due to the state of some bolt heads (They are supposed to be Hex although internally they are are now round ish)

Clip off Very Rusty
Ok folks the clip is now off just needed a lot of releasing spray and some gentle persuasion from the non MB tool (the most important in the box)
Now How do I seperate the rubber sleeve from the manifold ? Just pull or is there some other non MB Tool ?

It always helps if you describe whether the car you're asking about is a Mercedes and then which model it is and then what engine it has.

I am still having problems removing the air guide housing to my 85 500SE (uk spec) it appears that the lower portion is a rubber type compound so don't want just use excessive force but would love suggestions how to remove it.
