What ever is RUNNING
Question 1976 300D no SHUTDOWN

Turn off key and the engine keeps running. Vacum problem?

Probably.

Diesels are stopped by shutting off fuel since there is no ignition system.

Should be emergency kill lever in engine compartment.

Fixed

Vacuum line to the door locks has a whole in it. Plug the feed and it shuts down. The shutdown is a Vacuum operated valve on the back of the injector body. NO VACUM NO SHUT DOWN.
