mbtech - Key thing

On the CLK forum there is a thread that I started (Freaky Key Experience) that others have experienced in one manifestation or another. Since there are no malfunctions recorded and bringing the car to a dealer is useless because the situation can't be duplicated, is there a way to contact someone at Mercedes to make them aware of the situation? Please read the threads on the other forum.

Thanks,

Take it to your dealer anyways. They might not be able to duplicate it, but our keys are known to be pieces of crap. They won't think you're lying. Just because your cluster says "No Malfunction" doesn't mean there aren't any fault codes stored in the memory. There might be codes in the EIS pointing to a bad ignition switch, but my best bet is that you simply have a bad key or two.
