Definitely a PITA to install. Here's a resource that really helped me...

I got mine (3 discs) installed about a couple months ago without any problems. Since I'm sorta challenged when it comes to PC's, I followed the sellers instructions, even printing out the software installation instructions and went line for line and got it loaded and running the very first time.

Yeah, it was a PITA to load; the only problem I have now is learning how to use the damn thing.....

I even printed out the 141-page "Help" pdf file to read along as I try to learn how.

Where did you buy this program. I bought one for about $90 or so 2 year ago. It also uses the loop back setup. I have the program loading but no meaninful data. Mine also had 4 disc but no "manual". I also checked and the disc are numbered on the lable 1 thru 4, but when looking with explorer the numbers 1 thru 4 don't match the disc . Jim

EBay. Can't remember the exact cost, but it was well under $90. The set (Mercedes-Benz WIS DVD) came with 3 discs: Instructions and Key; Disc 1; and, Disc 2.

I'm getting better acquainted with how to use it; I can even go in and pull "documentations" (as it is called) on stuff. Yesterday, I pulled the "Oil pan" removal and installation page to see if I could do it after reading the thread on ....proper way to seal MB oil pans came up.
