I just bought a 1980 300 SD Turbo Diesel with an automatic. It has over a quarter million miles, but is still a great car. When I am driving at any speed which puts me in second gear or above, it wants to downshift anytime I give it more than about 1/3 throttle. I am not yet familiar with the throttle linkage setup on the diesel, or mercedes in general for that matter. Can anyone explain the adjustment of this system, or direct me to a site where I can find some information. Thanks.
