2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan
Question Average cost to replace a brake light??

My car is out of warranty and my left brake light went out this morning. Anyone know what it might cost to replace it, on a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Sedan??

Thx

Aaahhhh the benefits of being cute!! I called my dealer, they're going to fix it for free,, lucky me!! After talking to them, it didn't sound like a big expense anyway.

Must be nice, I had my bulb indicator on when I took my 2000 C230K in for some other issues. Apparently it was a tail light and side marker. $10 for the bulbs, $90 for the labor of putting them in. Go figure. But the other issues caused the car to be in the shop for over a week so at that point I didn't care, I just wanted the car back.

That is unbelievable, it takes a maximum of 2 minutes to replace these bulbs,( $2700/ Hr), any garage charging for this other than the cost of the bulbs is committing theft. Change your garage.

When I dropped it off I had mentioned the bulb light was on figuring they would call me to let me know which ones before doing anything. Ideally I would have just bought the bulbs and did it myself (I figured it couldn't have been too hard), but alas when I called later about my other issue, they had already fixed this. Thank you MB of Huntsville, AL. (Luckily I'm only temporarily here for another month then I can go back to my other dealer! )

OK, I'm confused......you have a 2005 C class and you are out of warranty? Don't all Mercedes come with a 4 year/50K mile warranty?
Of course I don't think light bulbs are covered under warranty anyways?

And how do we know how cute you are....you never posted a pic! For all we know you could just be mildly hot.......maybe the dealer fixed it out os sympathy for just being eh...so-so. Of course to prove me wrong you'll have to start posting some pics otherwise!

A secret message to the Mods in her sig? So maybe TenzBenz isn't really who she says she is?
