Both wagons. Would this be possible?

I suppose there might be quite a bit of engine control electronics that go along with that.

The '87 diesels are a bear to find and sell for twice the later 300TE's. Why not get the best of both worlds? Great gas mileage and low price?

Besides, the waste vegetable oil idea is interesting.

BTW, I've located at low mileage '87 engine for damn near free.

If it's "damn near free" you could just sell it and use the money to pay for gasoline.
