Close assist

Im working on an '03 S430 with close assist doors which arent workng on the front doors, I thought about replacing the entire door lock actuator but when checking the actual values on the DAS the micro switch is operating normally. My second guess is the PSE pump/control unit malfunctioning. Has anyone dealt with this problem before and have any advice?

as far as I know the door close assist is not pneumatic. It is electric and controlled via the door control modules.

I was looking at retrofitting closing assist in the S and did not see anything mention a pump. Perhaps tied to the lock system? I must have over looked it.

Most likely the PSE pump. It may also have an air leak in the system. Test fit a pump, if that doesn't work I'd start looking for air leaks in the system.
