i remember reading somewhere that mercedes has a dead battery safeguard. incase you forget to turn off your headlights, the car will automatically turn them off when it senses your battery starts to drain too much.

i know that it will do this, for sure, with the parking light(right or left) feature.

Your headlights will extinguish as soon as you shut off ignition and remove key.
