Hi everyone,
Two weeks ago I went to a MB dealer to have the brakes checked because the brakes squeak. The guy at the dealer said he needed to order some parts in order to fix the prblem. My car is still under factory warranty, so he said I didn't have to pay anything and would call me when the parts arrive. It's been more than 2 weeks. I called and emailed him many times to ask if the parts arrive, but he couldn't answer me and always said he's checking on it or he has the tech checking on it.
My car's factory warranty is going to expire next week. What should I do if the problem hasn't been fixed before the factory warranty expires? What if the guy at the MB dealer didn't order the parts for me? Do I need to pay for parts and labors? Thank you.

2 choices - call and speak to someone else and make them handle it or take your car down and leave it there. your warranty is extended by the time that your car is in the shop (you will have to document it because they surely wont...) but it can't expire when the car is in their shop.
If your car has been in the shop for that concern, it will be documented and doesnt matter if your warrenty is over. When the part arrives they will do the repairs under warrenty.

I agree. They will have to do the work under warranty. Just be sure to pay w/ a credit card. You can legaly "decline payment" if they should try to stick you.Originally Posted by sergs99m3

Thanks everyone! The dealer is taking care of my car now. It might be because I sent an email to MBUSA to complain about the problem, and MBUSA probably contacted the dealer. Also, someone from MBUSA called me to check if everything is ok. Hopefully, my car will be on the road by the end of this week.
