w208 flex disc

can someone give me the procedures on how to replace the part.
i know it is the rubber round thing that has holes all around it. is it that hard to replace?

Yes basically that's. But you must consider in industry they use the same coupling system on large equipment. For your car to hit 100000 miles of continuous driving would take less than a year. In industry machinery must run in some cases 20 years without downtime other than scheduled maintenance. So I would consider this "rubber thingy" very solid and proven in industry. Jim

It's called a guibo in German, and is popular in Mercedes, BMW's, German Fords and other European cars. It is useful to match small misalignment between the pumpkin and the tranny. It allows the pumpkin to thrash about without shaking the tail off the transmission. They are made of synthetic rubber processed to a certain hardness and then molded onto metal inserts for the bolts.
