Need help with the electric fan

I have an electric fan off a C class mercedes.. I want to do a custom fan for my car, and i can't seem to make this thing work...
I was told it was a working fan and everything was functional..

It has a big connector to the side of it... 4 pins.. 2 large and 2 small.
They are marked as 1 2 3 and 4 on the plastic...

What do i do to hook that thing and make it work?????

Power and grd - go to the big connectors- then an ME control unit to send a pulse width signal to the controller (in the fan) for how much fan you want..and an AC control panel to do the same thing (other 2 pins)...
Probably more time/money than it is worth..
