Questions from a new benz enthusiast!

Hello!

I'm looking at buying a 1997 E320...I've fallen in love and am trying to research before hand.

This car is immaculate...the only thing that is scary to me is it has 175,876 miles on it. They're charging 6,500$ for it.

My question is to you, the people who have driven these cars and love them, is this worth purchasing? I've heard that a Benz could last for a bazillion (ok slight exaggeration there) miles if well maintained...and basically I'm wondering if my hard earned dollars are worth a car at this stage in it's life.

I tried asking the dealer questions about engine life and the guy assisting me just turned around and tried to sell me (a college student) a 60,000$ car.

If maintenence costs are a consideration stay away from this one. The car is 10 maybe 11 yrs old and has a ton of miles. As for the price, my opinion is that its a bit high for whats described. Engine life is only one of the considerations, remember there is the transmission, drive line and a myriad of
elecronics and devices that can get real expensive to keep up. The most expensive Benz is usually the cheapest to buy.
