Renntech camshafts for 560SEL
On the performanceproducts4benz.com site, they carry a Renntech performance camshaft kit for $3350.00. Hence, these camshafts produce 16+ bhp to 254 @ 5300 rpm and torque 11 lbs. ft. to 298 @ 3800 rpm. Thus, is anyone familiar with these camshafts? I remember seeing a AMG 560SEC 6.0 liter that received upgrades from Renntech. Thus, I'm wondering if that vehicle received a similar camshaft upgrade as well? Athough, I know that the AMG 6.0 liter produces close to 400hp stock. So, I wonder how much of a performance upgrade can that vehicle receive from Renntech. But, back to my question? Is this upgrade worth it? As I see it, this is a 7% gain in power. Also, are there any more upgrades that can maximize the 560's potential like its 300hp euro variant? Please, give me some feedback on this issue. Thanks!
