Common points for vacuum leaks

Hello everyone,

My wife is the happy new owner of a 95 C220. We were aware going into it that there is a vaccum leak. (noise in passenger side of trunk) I am trying to find out what the common point for leaks are in the car? Everything seems to work that would be powered by the vacuum. The one aspect that is suspect is the antenna, it doesn't go all the way down or up.
Thanks for any help in advance.

That noise is probably the vacuum pump itself. It is located in the trunk area on the passenger side. It is getting turned on so much due to the vacuum leak. If this runs a lot, you risk wearing out the $$ pump assembly. Your leak could be so many different things from door locks, to rear headrests to air handling flaps inside of the dash ducting. You might want to buy a Haynes manual to help you trouble shooting and repairing this system.
