2007 CLS replacement parts unavailable.

Hello all.
I hope this post finds you well.

Back in October I was in a fender bender in my new 2007 CLS 550. The car has been in the shop ever since.

Originally it was towed to Mercedes-Benz of Oakland. They sent it to Brooks Motor Cars which is the factory certified body repair shop.

The car has languished there now for 3 months. First the knee airbag was unavialable from MB. It finally arrived Feb 23. Unfortunately the airbag did not include the cover which is back ordered for two MORE months.

Then today they tell me the seatbelt buckles are also not available from MB. This is rediculous. I've been making car payments for three months on a car sitting in the shop.

I've sent an email to MB corporate. Does anyone have any contacts they can give me to get this resoloved?

Thank you for reading this post.

Update

Hello all.

Here is an update on the problem getting replacement parts for my car.

The car is still in the shop, still waiting for the seatbelts and the airbag cover. It was supposed to be finished back in December.

I called the 1-800-for-Merc number that the parts manager at MB of Oakland gave me. It was basically a manned answering machine. I also emailed mb owners online from the mbusa web page.

Here is the response:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your recent Internet message and telephone call.

Arrangements have been made for your concerns to be reviewed on a local level; you may expect further contact shortly, if not already.

Sincerely,
Lois G
Customer Relations Liaison
------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was mailed from a blind email address at mbusa.

So I sent a 10 day letter of demand for car payments while the car is in the shop.

Small claims court is next for claims up to $7500. After that civil court.

Contact Rob Lewis at MB of West Chester. His number
is 513-870-1030. See if he can locate the parts you
need. He has been able to source hard to find parts for
me and my crazy projects. Best of luck!
