Unhappy 2002 SLK 320 60K Service

I'm taking my 2002 SLK 320 for its' 60K service. I was told they recommend I replace the spark plugs, to the tune of $1200. If I don't replce them, the cost will be around $500. Do I really need to replace the spark plugs?

cheaper than a benz...
if you have the 4cyl i would say yes....the reason why they say to repl the plugs and cables is that they are due by time....its preventative maintence
...its your car and its out of warranty..so you make the call...

If it was my car, I would change the plugs... A little extra $ now can save you lots down the road.

You gotta remember plugs are a wearable item. I've seen 10$ plugs wreck 10,000$ engines...
