Whats the differential?
Specifically, where is the transfer case versus the front differential?
I'm about to change the oil, and want to make sure I don't end up putting Dexron III in the wrong unit.
Help!

if you don't like it sell it (Get rid of it)
buy something else .
I once had a BMW 92' E36, the car had so many problems i think it was a bad choice and buy i've spent over 2100 USD (which is too much for me) in approx. eight months and i have only put 7500 miles on it over that period and sold it for a less value
i was putting approx. 0.50 usd per mile including gas and other expenses so total depreciation was 4450 USD only in eight months for such a car , after that i got some money and i thought why spending more money on this car 
i sold it and saved more money and finally got a w202 (a piece for mind relief like PANADOL) ....

If you do not know the difference between the differential and the transfer case I strongly suggest that you do not attempt to change your transfer case oil or for that matter to do any work on your vehicle.
