Changing Headlamp Bulbs from Stnd. Halogen Headlamps to Xenon/HID
For a 2007 R class, can you change the standard Halogen headlamps to Xenon or HID bulbs? Or does require special wiring/equipment installation.
Anyone with any knowledge on this I'd appreciate your input. Thanks.

its a pretty simple changeover provide you get a decent kit. i have had issues with particular kits where the xenon bulb had to be modified slightly to get them to fit with the mercedes retaining clamps. other than that its plug and play.
you will need to schedule a visit to your dealer to get the xenon option coded so that your vehicle does no error when it fails to see the original bulb resistance.

Requires whole new light units if you want to do it with OE parts and retain your warranty.
Some aftermarket stuff out there that's really cheap and doesn't work well.
