C230 Coupe
Steering Noise
Dropped our C230 coupe off twodays ago to have a whirring noise checked -- this noise occurs at the point of making a hard turn. So far Service Rep advises that they have replaced the ps pump and this has not eliminated the noise. They are now talking about replacing the ps rack, which appears to be a fairly intense job.
Anybody have this happen to them with a coupe or any other model?

2001 320 4 matic
steering noise
We have a muffled steering shaft noise in a 2001 320E 4 matic.
It has been worked on 4 times without eliminating the problem.
We are told it is peculiar to the 4 matic. but I believe the service people don't know.We are told a metal piece has been installed in a test car but as of 9/15/02 the test car needed to be run awhile to see if that works.
