mbtech - any bulletins on...
I know I asked before, and you humorous answer had to do with Q101, but really...
in my ML500 in the Chicago Area (flat and within 30 miles of towers), my FM RECEPTION is probably NOT Stereo more than 10% of the time. 90% of the time is in mono mode - including driving in downtown under the Sears Tower where most antennas are.
Are there any known issues? I know in past years and other models, bulletins involved checking the amplifier and rear window grounds, connection etc.
Any help would REALLY be appreciated.
My dealer sloughs it off and says that MB's and MLs just do not have good reception.

one other thing too if you please...
In my ML500, my tech put it in Belgium mode that enabled me to use the Foglights in any way except AUTO setting. Yes, it let me turn them on with just Parking lights, and even WITH high beams.
The only problem with Belgium was that the Alarm system auto-armed itself even when I left the car un-locked.
I was told by someone in Belgium that they get the same fog-light behavior, but that their ML's alarm does not auto-arm.
Is there anyway you could tell me the sub-setting to turn off this auto-arm for the alrarm??
TIA

About the radio reception, your dealer is right. If the antenna splitter connections are tight, the antenna ground is clean, and you don't have any aftermarket tint on the windows, theres really not much else that can be done. All newer Mercedes have subpar radio reception as compared to other makes of car.
About your alarm, I have no experience with any setting other than the United States mode. I've never set a car to another country setting to see what the effects are. Perhaps I will someday when its slow at work and I have nothing else to do.
