Hi to one and all! I've just bought my first Mercedes Benz, it's a 1989 200E. It's a truly amazing car which is a joy to drive and has sold me on the marque. It's got 113,000 miles on the clock and is very clean. Unfortunately it's got a terrible whine from the back axle under acceleration, I topped up the diff oil but it's still noisy. Any suggestions? I've considered a secondhand axle but it's a gamble. Thanks in advance.
