Knock noise.....I guess?

Knock noise.....I guess?
I am hearing a somewhat of a knock noise when I am at idle coming from the back end of my car. It sorta sounds like someone is tapping their index finger on a desk but lightly. I can't seem to duplicate it for the dealer.

Could it be coming from the fuel pump? Now don't forget to sit at your desk and tap your finger on it from a light to moderate tap(without using your fingernail).......thats what it sounds like. It took me a while to figure out a comparison...hahaha! Damn, maybe someone or something is in my trunk!

MY C55 RECENTLY WENT INTO SERVICE FOR SOME SPLINES IN THE AXEL ?
I HAVE NO IDEA MY AXEL WAS THE ISSUE...
I HEARD ISSUES FROM BRAKE PADS MOVING AROUND? TO TRANNY ISSUES..
THOUGH MY SERVICE TECH TOLD ME HE HAD TO REPLACE THE SPLINES IN THE AXEL ?
ANYONE EVER HEAR OF THIS BEFORE?

A tapping noise at idle ,in drive?, Could be a loose exhaust pipe banging on the floor or a transmission mount rubber has failed.
had to replace the splines in the axle????? or replace the axle shafts...? !? The Shaft on the left is "Splined" ,so tell me ,how is your mechanic going to change those splines..Hmmm?
